anVendor is now available in ChatGPT
Add the anVendor plugin to ChatGPT to find companies using competing SaaS and business services, check an account list and research adoption and spend.
You can now add anVendor from ChatGPT's plugin directory and research your competitors' customers in a conversation.
Find companies using competing SaaS and business services, including usage hidden from website scanners. Check a list of target accounts for a particular vendor, or analyze the services identified at one company. ChatGPT calls anVendor and brings dated findings, estimated adoption and estimated annual spend into your research, where those figures are available.
This gives sales specialists a way to move from a broad prospecting question to specific accounts worth investigating, without copying results between a research tool and a chat.
Add anVendor to ChatGPT
- Have an anVendor account ready. Create an account if you need one. The Free plan includes 20 credits every 30 days.
- Open the anVendor plugin and add it. You can also find anVendor in ChatGPT's Plugins directory.
- Connect your account when prompted. Sign in to anVendor, choose the permissions you want to grant and set the connection's credit budget. The default is 50 credits a month; your account's available credits still apply. You do not need to copy an API key.
- Start a new chat and ask for anVendor research. Name the service or company and include the filters you care about. The examples below show three starting points.
OpenAI's plugin instructions explain how to install and connect plugins in ChatGPT. The connection gives ChatGPT access to anVendor's research tools using the permissions you approve.
Find companies using a competitor
Using anVendor, find companies in Spain with 11–50 employees that use Slack. Show finding dates and distinguish candidates not yet checked. Do not start paid checks.
Start with the competing service and narrow the list by location, industry or company size. Discovering companies is free. Companies previously found using the service appear ahead of candidates that match your filters but have not been checked yet.
Read the finding dates alongside the company names. A historical detection is useful context, but it does not guarantee current use. An unchecked candidate needs a check before you treat it as a match. Ask for the next page to continue discovery, then choose which companies deserve further research.
For the accounts you select, a vendor check can return available adoption and annual spend estimates. Those figures help you compare the potential scale of an opportunity before a sales conversation.
Check a list of target accounts
Quote a HubSpot usage check for stripe.com, notion.so and vercel.com. Show the cost and wait for my approval.
Give ChatGPT the company names or domains you want to investigate. For a check covering more than one company, anVendor returns a quote before starting. It describes the maximum credit cost, reusable answers and how much of the list your balance can cover. The check starts after you approve it.
Checks run in the background. ChatGPT can retrieve progress and results using the returned scan ID; keep that ID if you want to come back later. Results distinguish detections, checks with no detection, failures and work still in progress. A failed check provides no verdict about whether the company uses the service.
Research a company before a call
Analyze vercel.com using up to one anVendor credit. Show the SaaS and business services you find, estimated adoption, annual spend ranges and the result date.
A company analysis brings together the services anVendor identifies at that business. Use the findings to prepare questions about its existing subscriptions and decide which parts of your offer might be relevant.
If your account already holds a fresh purchased analysis, it can be returned immediately without another charge. Otherwise, anVendor starts a scan. Completion depends on the company and queue, so an unfinished analysis remains pending. You can request a new live scan explicitly; a refresh is a new paid action. Opening a result does not always start a new scan.
Credits and control
- Company discovery is free.
- A detected company-service match costs 1 credit. Checks with no detection and failed checks are refunded.
- A company analysis costs 1 credit, covering the services found at that company. Empty and failed analyses are refunded.
- Your connection budget and account balance limit spending. Credits can be held while checks run; unused reservations are released when the run finishes. Charges identify the connection in your billing history.
You can disconnect ChatGPT under API access. See Pricing for account allowances and the Privacy Policy for how requests and results are handled.
Use findings to guide the next conversation
Coverage varies by service and company. A detection indicates vendor use; it does not establish a paid contract, dissatisfaction or willingness to switch. No detection does not prove non-use. Adoption and spend are estimates where available, and annual spend ranges in USD are not invoices or guaranteed bounds.
Use that context to prioritize research and prepare better questions for the prospect.
